The market of PA6 experienced growth in China during the month of July, with the rise in various spot prices. On the 1st of August, the PA6's mixed benchmark prices reached 14000 RMB per tonne. This increase was estimated to be 4.87 percent from the average price level at the start of the month.
In July, a significant increase in the prices of Caprolactam was also observed. The rise in crude oil prices resulted in the increase of pure benzene's cost, which caused the northward drift for Caprolactam price. During the second half of July, a shortage in the supply of Caprolactam was observed, and the downstream polymerization companies were operating smoothly. Moreover, it is anticipated that Caprolactam prices will remain stable.
Furthermore, during the month of July, the Chinese PA6 manufacturing firms maintained a steady operation at an average rate of 74 percent. The supply in the market started decreasing slowly, resulting in a reduction in inventory positions. This led to an increase in supplier support for spot goods and ultimately contributed to a rise in factory pricing.
The PA6 market saw a surge in July. Although the production from domestic polymerization plants remained stable and plentiful, the supply of goods is gradually being used up. Demand for PA6 is acceptable, and downstream stocking enthusiasm has improved. The price of Caprolactam has also increased, along with a rise in PA6 cost. Over and beyond that, the growth of the PA6 market is anticipated to continue in the future.
According to Procurement Resource, the PA6 market is strengthening in China, as per the data monitored during the month of July. The benchmark price of PA6 reached 14000 RMB, which is a 4.87 percent growth rate compared to the average price level. The rise in prices of crude oil caused this growth, as the improved crude oil market increased the raw material costs.
