Last Updated: January, 2025
This report shows the cost structure of 2,5-Furandicarboxylic Acid (FDCA) production through furan method using glucose syrup. Glucose is isomerized to fructose in this phase. Fructose will then be turned to intermediate methoxymethyl furan (MMF) which gets oxidized into FDCA. A glucose-water juice of 70% is used as a nutrient product in the method and produces by-products of glucose acetate and citrus levulinate.
