Ammonium Oxide Production Cost Breakup via Oxidation

This report provides an extensive cost evaluation of producing Ammonium oxide through oxidation. This method involves the use of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and tertiary aliphatic amines as the raw materials for the synthesis of Ammonium oxide as the product. The synthesis begins with the reaction of tertiary aliphatic amines with the aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, which serves as an oxidizing agent. The reaction is conducted within a moderate range of temperature (40°C), which leads to the formation of ammonium oxide as the final product. The obtained ammonium oxide is separated from any unreacted amine and other impurities by extraction or simple phase separation.
