The report involves the cost analysis of production of barium nitrate two processes that start with barium carbonate.
Last Updated: January, 2025
Barium Nitrate can be formed via two processes, one through Barium Carbonate and the other one through Barium Sulfide. Firstly, Barium Carbonate is made to react with HNO3. After the reaction, iron impurities are formed, which need to be removed through various filtration methodologies. After that, the remaining mixture should be evaporated and crystallized to yield Barium Nitrate.
The other process involving Barium Sulfide includes the reaction of Barium Sulfide and Nitric acid at a high temperature to produce Barium Nitrate
