This report provides an extensive cost evaluation of Caustic Soda production from soda ash and lime. The manufacturing process of Caustic Soda occurs with soda ash and lime as the starting materials. In this process, lime (CaO) is first slaked with water to form calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), producing a lime slurry. This slurry is then reacted with soda ash (sodium carbonate, Na2CO3) to produce caustic soda (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) as the final product and limestone (CaCO3) as a by-product.
