In this process, a reaction between methyl chloride and silicon powder is carried out in a fluidised bed reactor, producing mixed methylchlorosilanes. Finally, the purification takes place to remove unreacted methyl chloride from mixed methylchlorosilanes, followed by the multi-stage distillation process to separate all the different silane monomers.
