The synthesis begins with the chemical reaction between toluene and salicylic acid in a reaction tank that generates a mixture of both compounds. Under a high temperature point, Diethyl amine is added into the reaction tank containing the mixture of salicylic acid and toluene. The mixture obtained is naturally cooled down while distilling off the toluene present in it. It is then recrystallized with acetone, centrifuged, and dried to produce diethyl amine salicylate as the final product.
