Erucic Acid Production From Rapeseed Oil

This report provides an extensive cost evaluation production from rapeseed. The production of erucic acid is carried out by the high temperature splitting and distillation method. In this process, rapeseeds are processed in hot pressurized ethanol and filtered, producing rapeseed oil at the end. The rapeseed oil obtained from rapeseeds is then heated at a high temperature in the presence of water, resulting in a mixture of fatty acids and glycerol as an intermediate.
