This report shows the cost structure of linear alpha olefin production from stoichiometric ziegler process. The first step includes the reaction between triethyl aluminium in olefin diluent and excess ethylene, resulting in tri-octyl aluminium. Any excess of ethylene and olefin diluent are removed. The heavy tri-alkyl aluminum is again reacted with ethylene in a reagent or through transalkylation, extracting linear alpha olefins.
