This report provides an extensive cost evaluation of magnesium hydroxide production by the Brine-Lime method. The synthesis begins with the chemical reaction between brine and lime. Initially, purified and refined brine is reacted with lime milk in a chemical reactor. The reaction results in the precipitation of magnesium hydroxide in the sedimentation tank. Once the precipitates are formed, a flocculant is added to the slurry for separation of the resultant product. The resultant obtained is further processed, separated, filtered, washed, dried, and pulverized to attain magnesium hydroxide as the final product.
