This report presents a thorough cost evaluation of raw sugar production via juice extraction, defecation, clarification, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, and drying. The process involves extracting sugar cane juice via milling or diffusion technology, then subjecting the extracted juice to defecation, where phosphoric acid is added, followed by lime to neutralize the raw juice. The defecated juice is then heated and sent for the clarification process via settling, where the clear juice is obtained, and the mud is removed. The clarified juice is then evaporated to obtain the concentrated sugar syrup, followed by crystallization and centrifugation to separate molasses and sugar crystals, which are then dried, finally giving raw sugar.
