In this process, a well-aerated medium containing carbohydrate, a nitrogen source, dipotassium phosphate, and other trace elements is inoculated with Xanthomonas campestris. After a few days, the xanthan polymer produced is precipitated with the help of isopropyl alcohol. The recovered product is dried and milled to get the Xanthan gum in powder form.
