Moreover, the IUPAC name of the compound is pyrrolidin-2-one. The compound appears in the form of a light-yellow liquid and is stored sealed in a container, away from light and below 20°C. The flash point of the compound is 265 °F (129 °C), and its density is 1.116gm/cm3.
