It has a melting point of 222 degree Celsius, low solubility in water, but slight solubility in DMSO and methanol. It has an estimated pKa of 14.44 for its hydroxyl groups, and a logP value around 2.58, indicating moderate lipophilicity suitable for membrane interactions. It consists of a steroidal structure with hydroxy groups at 3β, 12β, and 14 positions, a lactone ring at C17, and a double bond at 20(22), contributing to its stability under neutral conditions but susceptibility to acid hydrolysis of precursors.
