Finally, a dimethylamino group is introduced through a STAB-H–mediated reductive amination step, which leads to the production of Lazertinib in high yield and purity.

Lazertinib is an antineoplastic compound that appears as a white to pale yellow crystalline solid. It is an odourless compound, which is practically insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide and ethanol. The molecular formula of lazertinib is C27H27FN6O2, and its molar mass is 486.54 g/mol. The compound has a melting point in the range of 214–216 degree Celsius. Lazertinib is chemically stable under dry, normal storage conditions but may degrade when exposed to moisture, heat, or direct sunlight. It belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and selectively targets mutant epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) enzymes. The compound should be handled with care, as it may cause irritation upon contact and should be stored in a tightly closed container at controlled room temperature.
