N-Methyl Aniline Production Cost Reports

Chemicals

N-Methyl Aniline production cost report provides a comprehensive analysis and know-how for setting up a N-Methyl Aniline production plant. The study covers all the requisite aspects that one needs to know for the production of N-Methyl Aniline. This includes manufacturing processes, raw material requirements, utility requirements, infrastructure requirements, machinery and technology requirements, manpower requirements, packaging requirements, transportation requirements, etc.

N-Methyl aniline is a compound that can range from colorless to brown in appearance and is viscous in nature. It is composed of seven carbon, nine hydrogen, and one nitrogen atom, with the chemical formula CHN or more specifically CHNH(CH). This chemical liquid has a molecular weight of 107.15 g/mol. It is a toxic substance with a faint, characteristic odor, somewhat reminiscent of ammonia. N-methyl aniline has a melting point of approximately -57 °C and a boiling point around 196 °C. Its flash point is measured at about 79.5 °C.

This compound is insoluble in water but dissolves in various organic solvents, including ether, ethanol, and carbon tetrachloride. Its density is around 0.989 g/cm³ at 20 °C, and it has a vapor density of 3.69, indicating that its vapors are heavier than air. Its vapor pressure is approximately 0.453 mm Hg at 25 °C. N-methyl aniline is photosensitive, tending to turn brown upon exposure to light. When heated at high temperatures, it decomposes, emitting highly toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides. It belongs to the aromatic amine family.

In the chemical industry, N-methyl aniline is highly valued. It acts as a solvent essential in organic synthesis. This chemical is also used as a latent solvent in the production of various dyes, such as cationic pink B, cationic brilliant red FG, and reactive yellow brown KGR. Additionally, it serves as an intermediate in the manufacturing of chemical dyestuffs, certain agrochemicals, and other organic compounds on a large scale. Its applications extend to various other sectors, including pharmaceuticals and polymers.
