It has an octanol/water partition coefficient of 4.8 at pH 7.4, and a pKa of 4.3. It has a propionic acid-based structure with an oxazole ring fused to a benzoxazole system. It shows saturable plasma protein binding (>99.5% to albumin), a volume of distribution of 11-17 L/70 kg, and stability requiring storage at -20 degree Celsius or controlled conditions.
