It is a colorless and odorless crystalline solid with the chemical formula C3H5NO. Acrylamide is a crystalline solid compound with a molecular weight of 71.08 g/mol.

The boiling point of this compound is 125.7 degrees Celsius, and the melting point is 84.5 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the flash point of Acrylamide is 138 degrees Celsius. In terms of solubility, this compound is highly soluble in water and also dissolves in ethanol, acetone, methanol, and ethyl ether. It is a stable compound under specific storage conditions but becomes unstable when heated. When heated above its decomposition temperature, it releases irritating or toxic fumes, including ammonia and oxides of nitrogen.
