After being cooled, it leads to the crystallise the products. The crystallised o-benzaldehyde sulphonic acid sodium salts get filtered, concentrated, and recrystallised.

It is a white crystalline powder which remains stable at room temperature. The compound offers various other dyes and colours like Acid Blue 113, Basic Blue 41, Acid Red 1, Acid Yellow 1, etc.

Benzaldehyde-2-Sulphonic Acid is mainly used as a fluorescent brightening agent in speciality colouring-related uses, which is driving the market's growth. The colouring agent is employed to impart a bright blue colour in products like coatings, plastics, and consumer products like detergents.
