How to Order Your Report?

Product Overview

The report provides a detailed analysis essential for establishing a Coco-Caprylate production plant. It encompasses all critical aspects necessary for Coco-Caprylate production, including the cost of Coco-Caprylate production, Coco-Caprylate plant cost, Coco-Caprylate production costs, and the overall Coco-Caprylate production plant cost. Additionally, the study covers specific expenditures associated with setting up and operating a Coco-Caprylate production plant. These encompass production processes, raw material requirements, utility requirements, infrastructure needs, machinery and technology requirements, manpower requirements, packaging requirements, transportation requirements, and more.

Coco-Caprylate is a natural, lightweight ester made from coconut oil-derived fatty alcohols and caprylic acid. It is used as a silicone alternative in cosmetics and personal care products because it provides a silky, smooth, and non-greasy feel on the skin and hair. Its fast absorption and light texture make it ideal for formulations like facial creams, serums, sunscreens, lotions, and hair conditioners. It improves the spreadability of products and effectively disperses pigments in colour cosmetics such as foundations and lipsticks.

This ingredient is biodegradable, compatible with sensitive skin, and stable across various formulations, including those requiring heat resistance. It also improves the delivery and absorption of active ingredients in skincare. It helps lock in moisture, providing long-lasting hydration without clogging pores.

The Coco-Caprylate market is driven by rising consumer preference for natural and sustainable ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products. Its biodegradable, skin-friendly, and non-greasy properties make it an attractive alternative to silicones, which fuels its demand in skincare, haircare, sunscreen, and colour cosmetics.

The growing global beauty and personal care industry further supports its market growth. The change in the availability and price of raw materials like coconut oil and caprylic acid, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory requirements for natural and safe cosmetic ingredients impact industrial Coco-Caprylate procurement. Also, technological advancements in extraction and formulation, and competition from synthetic alternatives, influence market dynamics.

Raw Material for Coco-Caprylate Production

According to the Coco-Caprylate production plant project report, the key raw materials used in the production of Coco-Caprylate include Caprylic and Capric Fatty Acids-Fatty Alcohols-Butyl Stannoic Acid Catalyst.

Manufacturing Process of Coco-Caprylate

The extensive Coco-Caprylate production cost report consists of the following major industrial production process:

  • By Esterification Process: The production process of Coco-Caprylate involves an esterification process. In this process, fatty acids like caprylic acid and capric acid are reacted with fatty alcohols obtained from coconut alcohol or palm kernel sources. The reaction is catalysed by a transesterification catalyst such as butyl stannoic acid and carried out at temperatures ranging from 150 to 250 degree Celsius. The methanol generated during the reaction is continuously removed to drive the reaction to completion. After this, the product goes through deodorisation and decolourisation to pure Coco-Caprylate as the final product.

Coco-Caprylate is a clear, colourless to slightly yellow liquid ester with a characteristic mild odour. It has a low viscosity, with reported kinematic viscosity values around 9-12 mm²/s and a specific gravity of about 0.855 to 0.86 g/cm³ at the same temperature. The flash point of Coco-Caprylate is around 120-171 degree Celsius, and it is stable up to decomposition temperatures above 300 degree Celsius. It has a high partition coefficient (Log Pow) in the range of 6.7 to 8.7, making it lipophilic. It is insoluble in water but mixes well with oils and organic solvents. It has natural origin, biodegradability, and stability under normal storage and handling conditions. It is chemically stable, non-reactive under typical usage conditions, and does not pose significant safety hazards when handled properly. All these physical and chemical properties make it useful in cosmetics and personal care formulations.
