  • Balaji Amines’ plants remain partly non-operational due to ammonia supply disruption
  • The disruption is linked to the ongoing geopolitical conflict in West Asia
  • The company had first disclosed the operational impact on March 12, 2026
  • Production is being resumed for methylamines, ethylamines and derivatives
  • The company has not announced a timeline for full restoration of operations

Balaji Amines Ltd said on Monday that its manufacturing operations continue to be affected by ammonia supply disruption linked to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, leaving its plants partly non-operational.

The speciality chemicals manufacturer said the issue had affected production after ammonia availability came under pressure. The company had earlier informed exchanges on March 12, 2026, about the supply disruption and its impact on operations.
Balaji Amines said conditions have started to improve, allowing production to resume for methylamines, ethylamines and related derivatives.

The restart indicates that the company is restoring operations in phases rather than returning all units to full production at once. Ammonia is a key input for several amine-based products, making supply continuity important for the company’s manufacturing cycle. The partial shutdown reflects the effect of imported raw material constraints on chemical producers exposed to overseas supply routes.

The company did not provide a timeline for full restoration of plant operations. It said the affected facilities remain in a partially non-operational phase as supply conditions continue to stabilise.
