SFC Energy AG, known for its specialization in hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for hybrid power solutions, is said to be enhancing its partnership with the Swiss mobility company, Auto AG Group. Reports indicate that this expanded collaboration will focus on SFC Energy's EFOY series of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) and EFOY lithium batteries, catering to both the consumer and industrial sectors.

Auto AG is reportedly set to become the exclusive distributor of EFOY fuel cells in Switzerland, aiming to cater to the market of compact equipment. Sources mentioned that their previous collaboration was primarily focused on the development of H2Genset, a mobile and emission-free hydrogen fuel cell solution, in cooperation with TEST-FUCHS GmbH.

The methanol-based EFOY and EFOY Pro fuel cells from SFC Energy are said to provide autonomous electricity production, regardless of weather conditions. These fuel cells are reportedly efficient, silent, and compact, with the EFOY model delivering 40W and the EFOY Pro offering 125W. It's suggested that these fuel cells have a range of applications, from consumer use in motorhomes and yachts to industrial activities like environmental data monitoring.

Christian Böhm, Senior Vice President of SFC Energy, reportedly shared his enthusiasm about the expanded partnership with Auto AG Group and emphasized the company's successful past endeavors. The EFOY Pro model, designed for outdoor applications, is believed to be weather-resistant and versatile in its installation methods. It's said that both the EFOY and EFOY Pro fuel cells can efficiently charge lithium and lead-based batteries, thanks to an integrated smart battery management system.

Auto AG's stance on the collaboration was highlighted by Marco Villiger, who emphasized the alignment of SFC's fuel cells with the company's innovative approach. Reports suggest that Auto AG sees potential in reaching a broad customer base, especially those focused on environmentally friendly power solutions for both consumer and industrial applications.
