Hence, the price trends of ATMP remained anchored throughout the first half of the said year.
In line with its Asian counterpart, the prices of ATMP stood firm in the European market. The prices of feedstock phosphoric acid have increased around 3-4 times than the 2021 levels. The prices of formaldehyde and ammonia remained strong despite the trade bottlenecks.
The feedstock prices remained strong owing to the raised production costs, freight charges and the robust demand from the downstream sectors. Hence, the price of ATMP remained stable in the US domestic market.

ATMP or amino trimethylene phosphonic acid is basically known as a phosphonic acid. To produce ATMP via Phosphorus Acid, Mannich type reaction synthesis route is utilised. In this process, phosphorus acid reacts with ammonium chloride at appropriate temperature while formaldehyde is mixed to the reaction vessel. Finally, ATMP is produced by separating HCL and unreacted ammonium.
