Nanologica, a renowned provider of silica solutions, has recently dispatched a significant order of silica to one of Asia's major insulin production companies. This shipment, based on an order secured last year, is set to be utilized in a pivotal full-scale production evaluation.
Interestingly, this isn't a traditional commercial transaction. Nanologica has decided to supply the silica without any charge, with a condition attached: they wish to gain comprehensive insights and results from the evaluation. Funding all other associated costs, the customer, a dominant player in the global insulin production market, sees potential in this partnership.
Nanologica's CEO, Andreas Bhagwani, shared some behind-the-scenes details. He revealed the long-standing dialogue between Nanologica and the customer, aiming to discern how the latter might reduce its production costs for insulin and related diabetes medications. Bhagwani expressed his satisfaction that Nanologica could finally provide the desired volume and quality of silica for a crucial full-scale production assessment. If successful, this could pave the way for Nanologica to be qualified as a potential long-term supplier.
Furthermore, Bhagwani mentioned the company's rising reputation in the market. Several clients have already given a nod of approval to Nanologica's silica for preparative chromatography, known as NLAB Saga®, at a smaller scale. In the previous year, the company witnessed an influx of orders meant for broader-scale evaluations.
Bhagwani highlighted the diverse range of products encompassed in the orders they've secured. While the current delivery focuses on a particular product type, future shipments will encompass a more varied range. This strategic move positions Nanologica on a path to becoming a respected name in supplying premium silica for peptide purification processes.
According to the article by Procurement Resource, Nanologica, a silica solutions firm, has shipped silica to a leading insulin producer in Asia for a full-scale production trial. This delivery, based on last year's order, is provided without charge in exchange for evaluation insights. Should the evaluation prove successful, a long-term supply partnership may emerge. CEO Andreas Bhagwani noted this marks a significant stride in Nanologica's aspiration to be a top supplier of silica for peptide purification.
