
DuPont has recently inaugurated its new manufacturing site for DuPont™ Kalrez® in Newark, Delaware, responding to the increasing demand from the semiconductor and industrial sectors. The Tralee Park Annex was opened with a ribbon-cutting event, attended by DuPont's leadership and Delaware's officials, including the Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State. This expansion will boost the production capacity for Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts and features state-of-the-art facilities such as an ISO Class 6 Cleanroom.
Brian Ammons, the Global Business Director for Kalrez®, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of the advanced site, which is aligned with the company's commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and supply reliability. The new site is also part of DuPont's sustainability efforts, incorporating modern energy and IT infrastructure designed to enhance efficiency and minimize energy usage.
With the opening of the Tralee Park Annex, DuPont is set to accelerate production cycles and expand its finishing, inspection, packaging, and shipping capabilities, improving service for global customers. Nathan Whitmoyer, Plant Manager, highlighted the timely and budgeted completion of the facility, which is expected to create about 50 new jobs in Delaware, a state where DuPont has been rooted for over two centuries. Whitmoyer underlined the strategic role of the Kalrez® parts in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to customers, reinforcing DuPont's position as a preferred partner in the market.
