Ethanol Production in Madhya Pradesh

Associated Alcohols and Breweries Limited, or AABL, an alcohol and beverage production major based in India, has recently begun its new ethanol production plant in MP. The company had set up a new ethanol plant in Barwaha, near Indore, MP, with a capacity of 130 KLPD. The plant has been set up with an approximate investment of around 150 crore INR.

It is a grain-based ethanol production plant with the ability to process various feedstocks. With the incorporation of advanced technology and methods, AABL is dedicated to providing clean and eco-friendly energy solutions. The plant is also carrying an additional boiler, which has been installed alongside the ethanol plant. The addition of this boiler has been strategized to improve the operational efficiency and the overall performance of the production unit.

The company is considered a supplier of high-quality Neutral Alcohol (ENA) for its IMFL products and to the other bottlers. It has recently reported a revenue of around Rs. 323.6 crore for H1 FY24 with an EBITDA of Rs 37.9 crore, at 21.9% YoY. With the commencement of the new ethanol production unit, Mr Prasann Kumar Kedia stated that the plant is a testament to the company’s dedication to the production of clean and green energy. He also mentioned that the company has already received orders from the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) for supplies till April 2024, with which the company is delighted to begin the new production unit in MP.
