How to Order Your Report?

Product Overview

The report provides a detailed analysis essential for establishing a Glutamic Acid production plant. It encompasses all critical aspects necessary for Glutamic Acid production, including the cost of Glutamic Acid production, Glutamic Acid plant cost, Glutamic Acid production costs, and the overall Glutamic Acid production plant cost. Additionally, the study covers specific expenditures associated with setting up and operating a Glutamic Acid production plant. These encompass production processes, raw material requirements, utility requirements, infrastructure needs, machinery and technology requirements, manpower requirements, packaging requirements, transportation requirements, and more.

Glutamic Acid is an amino acid that has several applications in the industries. It is a non-essential amino acid that plays an important role in protein synthesis. It is widely used as a flavor enhancer in its sodium salt form (monosodium glutamate or MSG), which enhances the flavor of the food product.  It is also involved in the proper functioning of the brain and heart and also plays an important role in improving the metabolism of the body. It also finds its application as a fertilizer to promote growth and increase crop yield. It is also used in the production of certain nutrient supplements. It is also used in production certain skincare products due to its skin-hydrating properties.

The market for Glutamic Acid is determined mainly by its association with the food processing industry, as it acts as a flavor enhancer and a food additive, which largely drives its demand. Its application as a fertilizer to promote crop production further increases its demand in the agriculture sector. Its association with the health and nutrition industry for producing certain nutritional supplements largely promotes its market growth. Additionally, several factors, such as the availability of raw materials (Corynebacterium glutamicum), its application in the nutrition industry, supplier relationships, technological advancements, and quality standards, are some factors that influence industrial Glutamic Acid procurement to a large extent.

Raw Material for Glutamic Acid Production

According to the Glutamic Acid production plant project report, the major raw material for Glutamic Acid production includes Corynebacterium glutamicum.

Production Process of Glutamic Acid

The extensive Glutamic Acid production cost report consists of the following industrial production process:

  • Production via Fermentation: The process involves microbial fermentation to produce glutamic acid as the product. In this method, Corynebacterium glutamicum strains are grown in the fermentation tanks that are used for the production of glutamic acid by using carbohydrates (glucose, molasses, sucrose, etc.), biotin, inorganic salts, and peptone through fermentation.

Glutamic Acid or L-Glutamic Acid is an amino acid with a chemical formula of C5H9NO4. Its molecular weight is 147.13 g/mol. It is a chemical that is composed of five carbon, nine hydrogen, one nitrogen, and four oxygen atoms. It is often found in its solid crystalline form with no odor. It has an umami sour taste with an acidic nature. It is a crystalline substance that generally sublimes at around 175 °C. The melting point is measured around 213 °C, and the boiling point is around 333.8°C. It is moderately soluble in water and highly insoluble in various organic solvents, such as ethanol, methanol, acetone, and ether. Its density is measured around 1.538 g/cu cm at 20 °C. It remains stable under normal conditions. Its pH value ranges between 3 to 3.5. Glutamic Acid is also known as glutamate. It is a crystalline solid that sublimes when heated at around 200 °C.
