Baker Hughes to serve eight main refrigerant compression packages to Tellurian
Baker Hughes, an energy technology firm, is set to provide Tellurian, an LNG project developer, with eight main refrigerant compression packages. These supplies are intended for the initial phase of the Driftwood LNG project located near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

According to industry reports, the delivery of these packages is slated to catalyze the onset of LNG production at Driftwood by the year 2027. Phase 1 of this ambitious project will consist of two LNG plants having a total export capacity of 11 million tonnes annually.
Furthermore, once the entire Driftwood LNG project reaches completion, its annual export capacity is expected to be a staggering 27.6 million tonnes of LNG, which also translates into the creation of around 400 operational jobs. The contract for engineering, procurement, and construction for the site has reportedly been awarded to Bechtel.
In remarks from Lorenzo Simonelli, the Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, the deal was described as an extension of the ongoing collaboration between his company and Tellurian. This partnership has been particularly noteworthy in executing the Driftwood Pipeline 200, which encompasses the provision of zero-emissions ICL compressor packages.
