This funding aims to propel the establishment of a sustainable hydrogen and ammonia supply chain. The route will extend from Western Canada, reaching South Korea, and extending its network to various other Asian territories.

This eco-conscious initiative revolves around the vision of establishing a facility capable of churning out approximately one million tonnes of low-carbon ammonia annually. These strategies are designed to catalyze the integration of hydrogen and ammonia into mainstream energy generation.

Alberta's Premier, Danielle Smith, highlighted the province's role in enhancing global energy security, pointing out Alberta's rich natural resources and focus on innovation that make it an important figure in the energy sector.
