Thyssenkrupp got in partnership with the IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) to fuel the green transformation goals in line with Paris Agreement and worldwide developmental stride.

The agreement is aimed at collaborating the knowledge and technology of the confederations. Francesco La Camera (General Director, IRENA) and Martina Merz (Chief Executive Officer, Thyssenkrupp) signed the agreement in a virtual ceremony on May 5, 2023.

As per Francesco La Camera, the need of the hour is to curb carbonization and pollution. He believes that to ensure cleaner and greener alternatives to fuels and decarbonize the world, it is imperative to escalate green hydrogen production. Along with that, he also added that owing to the deleterious changes in the environment, renewable-based green hydrogen is extremely crucial to save the environment and ensuring safer energy supplies.

He is optimistic about the agreement signed between IRENA and Thyssenkrupp. He places his high hopes in the conglomerate's technological collaboration, which would be pivotal to achieving the large-scale production of green hydrogen.

On similar tides, Martina Merz believes that the global alliance was crucially required to meet the goals of decarbonized economies.
