BPCL unveils its plan of setting up a 180 TMTPA LPG bottling plant in Gopalganj district

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is set to establish a cutting-edge LPG bottling plant in Hathua, Gopalganj district. The announcement comes ahead of the foundation stone-laying ceremony to be performed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri D.K. Ojha, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG), shared details of the project during a media briefing, highlighting its significance for the region's energy security.
With an investment of Rs. 340.15 crore, the facility is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2027. The plant will have a substantial capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum (TMTPA), featuring modern infrastructure such as a dedicated railway siding for seamless LPG transportation and Mounded Storage Vessels (MSV) to ensure safe storage.
